Hyderabad: The Hyderabad Cybercrime officials raided two call centers in New Delhi and Ghaziabad and arrested six persons in separate cases related to online job frauds here on Saturday.

The arrested persons were identified as Ravinder Kumar Pandey, Amar Kumar Singh, Shivam Tripathi, Prakash Tiwari, Vijay Rawal and Priyanka.

In the first case, Ravinder along with his associates Amar, Shivam, and Prakash set up a call center two years ago in Delhi and employed tele-callers to call customers and trap them in the guise of providing jobs.

“They fraudulently procured bank accounts and mobile numbers of different persons and often changed them to escape from police radar. They called the job aspirants by collecting resumes from job portals and would offer them the job which they need. They collected money on the pretext of registration fees, processing fees, training fees and security deposit,” said an official adding that after receiving money, they switched off their phones.

In another case, Vijay Rawal and Priyanka set-up up a fake call center in October last year and hired ten female tele-callers to cheat people in the guise of promising jobs in a prominent airlines.

“They posted advertisements on e-commerce sites and when a job aspirant approached them, they extract money and cheated them. When the victims sought their money back, they stopped responding,” police said.

Following complaints, different cases were booked and a team went to New Delhi and Ghaziabad and nabbed the suspects.
