Hyderabad cops hold Covid awareness programme

Hyderabad CP Anjani Kumar said that the numbers of coronavirus cases were increasing in other States and people should wear mask properly especially when in public places

Hyderabad: A series of initiatives have been taken up by the city police to spread awareness on the safety measures to be taken by the citizens in view of spurt in Covid-19 positive cases.

Hyderabad Police Commissioner Anjani Kumar, along with the city police officers participated in one such awareness programme at Basheerbagh junction on Wednesday.

Holding placards with slogan such as ‘Use Masks and Protect Your Families’, the police officials tried to underscore the importance of using face mask to stay safe in view of the pandemic.

Anjani Kumar said that the numbers of coronavirus cases were increasing in other States and people should wear mask properly especially when in public places. He said that the traffic police will conduct regular awareness programs on importance of wearing face mask and maintaining safe distance at different traffic junctions and public transport parking spaces.

During the programme, Shikha Goel, Additional CP (Crimes), Anil Kumar, Additional CP (Traffic), Tarun Joshi, Joint Commissioner Special Branch and other officers participated.
