Hyderabad: The Hyderabad Cybercrime police nabbed two persons from Indore in Madhya Pradesh on charges of cheating people in the guise of online trading here on Friday.

According to the police, the arrested persons, Rahul Siraswal (29) and Mahesh Dev (25), along with their other associates conspired to cheat innocent people on the pretext of online trading, for which they opened several bank accounts on different names in various banks across Madhya Pradesh. They then contacted the victims in the guise of online trading and offered huge profits to them.

“Falling in their trap, many transferred huge amounts into their bank accounts. In this manner, they cheated several people including a man from the city, from whom they collected Rs 1.2 crore,” said Avinash Mohanty, Joint Commissioner of Police, Detective Department, adding that there were many victims across the country including in Hyderabad, MP and Chattisgarh.

Following a recent complaint, the Cybercrime police booked a case and tracked and nabbed the suspects from Madhya Pradesh.
