Hyderabad: Cops solve burglary case, arrest suspect in four hours

Hyderabad: Within four hours of a burglary being reported, the Meerpet police with the help of the Rachakonda Central Crime Station police solved the case and arrested the burglar. They recovered gold and silver ornaments and gadgets, altogether worth Rs.13.10 lakh.
The arrested person is K.Sudhakar alias Subhakar (27), a mason from Meerpet and a native of Nagarkurnool district.
Police said Sudhakar checked residential colonies during the day to identify locked properties and returned in the night to target them.
He was earlier arrested in cases including a murder, burglary and automobile theft. He recently was released from the prison and continued committing burglaries.
Accordingly, on Wednesday afternoon, he broke into the house of K.Rathnakar Rao, a retired employee in Badangpet in Balapaur, in the absence of the residents and decamped with cash, gold and silver ornaments. He used the stolen property to buy a costly mobile phone and clothes for himself.
Based on a complaint from Rao at 5 pm on Wednesday, the Meerpet police booked a case and with the help of CCS staff, collected the CCTV footage and worked out on clues. They identified the suspect and nabbed him from his home around 9 pm.
He was remanded in judicial custody on Thursday.
