Hyderabad: A couple spending time near Kokapet in Narsingi faced a terrifying ordeal on Sunday night when they were allegedly attacked and robbed by a six-member gang.
According to available information, the gang arrived on motorcycles and confronted the couple near Neopolis. Brandishing sharp weapons, the miscreants warned the victims to hand over all their belongings.
When the couple panicked and hesitated, the gang physically assaulted them and forcibly snatched valuables. The robbers fled with a gold chain, a mobile phone and cash.
Shaken by the sudden attack, the victims reported the matter to the police.
The Narsingi police registered a case and launched an investigation. Special teams are scanning CCTV footage in the area to identify the gang members.
Officials suspect the group may be involved in similar incidents targeting couples in isolated places.
Police have urged citizens, particularly youngsters and couples, to remain cautious while visiting isolated areas at night.
