Hyderabad court sentences auto driver to 20 years in child assault case

Hyderabad: A fast track court for child offences on Wednesday sentenced Syed Yousuf (46), an auto driver, to 20 years of rigorous imprisonment in a child sexual assault case reported in Rajendranagar in 2020.
The court also imposed a fine of Rs 50,000 on the convict and awarded Rs 3 lakh as compensation to the four-year-old victim.
Police said Yousuf assaulted the child after taking her and her sister in his auto.
