Hyderabad Cricket Association to hold open selection trials from May 21

Hyderabad: The Hyderabad Cricket Association (HCA) announced open selection trials for senior men for the 2026-27 season exclusively for players who are not registered in the HCA League season and who fulfil the eligibility, domicile and other requirements prescribed by the HCA.
The players should be in the age group of 16 to 36 years and should be born between August 31, 1990, and August 31, 2010.
Players born outside Telangana must establish continuous residence in Telangana for a minimum period of three years as per HCA guidelines commencing from May 19, 2023, to be eligible. Applications will not be accepted from players born outside India or from individuals holding foreign passports.
Registrations will commence on May 18 at 11 am and remain open until May 20 at 12 noon, strictly on a first-come, first-served basis.
A maximum of 5,000 registrations will be accepted during the registration window. Out of the total registrations received, the first 3,000 eligible players will be shortlisted for Phase-I trials based on the respective player categories of batters, bowlers, all-rounders and wicketkeepers.
The remaining registered players beyond the initial 3,000 shortlisted candidates will be considered for Phase-II trials. The schedule and related details for Phase-II will be communicated in due course.
The trials will be held at the Gymkhana Ground from May 21 between 7 am and 11 am and from 3 pm to 6 pm in batches.
