Hyderabad: That Justices Nisar Ahmed and Meena Kumari have not yet taken charge as Ombudsman and Ethics Officer of the Hyderabad Cricket Association (HCA) was evident with the hearing in the III Additional District Judge, Ranga Reddy district, on Thursday.
The III Additional District Judge recorded the arguments of the case filed by Charminar Cricket Club against Hyderabad Cricket Association (HCA) secretary R Vijayanand and others. The judge posted the case for further hearing on June 4.
This came after the HCA had filed an SLP in the Supreme Court seeking clarification on the High Court order dated 6-4-2021.
This case came after Charminar CC had filed a petition asking the court to pass an order suspending the Minutes of the Annual General Body (AGM) (extended session) on April 11 as it was fabricated by the respondents appointing Justices Nisar Ahmed and Meena Kumari as Ombudsman and Ethics Officer of the HCA. The plea said the appointments were unilateral, arbitrary, illegal, and not binding on the 7th respondent (HCA). It also asked the court to prevent the HCA from going ahead with the appointments.
“This petition is coming before me for hearing… and upon perusing the material case records and this court delivered the following,” the judge said. “Counter of respondent No.7 is filed. Respondents 1 to 5 filed memos adopting the counter of respondent 7. Respondent 6 filed a Vakalat and requested time for filing counter.
“Senior counsel B Chandrasen has submitted during the course of hearing that the resolution dated 11.04.2021 appointing Justice Nisar Ahmed Khan as ombudsman and Justice B Meena Kumari as Ethics Officer for HCA for the year 2021-22 has not taken charge so far and further HCA sought clarification of the judgment passed by the High Court dated 6-4-2021 by way of SLP before the Supreme Court, which is pending for listing,” the judge stated in the docket order dated 29-4-2021.
