Hyderabad crime: Woman stabbed and bludgeoned to death in Borabanda

A young woman was murdered in Borabanda on Sunday night, allegedly by a man known to her. Police have detained the suspect, registered a case and launched an investigation into the circumstances leading to the killing.

Hyderabad: A young woman was found murdered in Borabanda triggering shock among local residents on Sunday night.
According to preliminary reports, the crime was allegedly committed by a man who was known to the victim.

The victim and suspect identified as Fathima and Zaheer had met earlier at a pub in Banjara Hills. Police suspect that differences arose after the woman recently changed her workplace, following which communication between them reportedly reduced.

Angered by this, the suspect allegedly called her to meet under the guise of holding a discussion and later attacked her with a knife and stone stabbing and bludgeoning her to death.

The suspect has been detained by Borabanda police, who have registered a case and are examining all angles related to the incident.
