Hyderabad: Cyber fraudsters dupe man to tune of Rs 10 lakh

The complainant, who is a private employee, was contacted by the fraudsters posing as financial experts providing guidance on stock market.

Hyderabad: A 35-year-old man from the city was duped by cyber fraudsters to the tune of Rs 10 lakh on the pretext of investments in stock market for gaining high returns.

The complainant, who is a private employee, was contacted by the fraudsters posing as financial experts providing guidance on stock market.


Believing the scammers, he transferred a total of Rs 10 lakh in installments into their bank accounts and ended up being cheated. He was unable to withdraw the money from his trading account.

Based on a complaint, the cybercrime police are investigating.
