Hyderabad: The Hyderabad cybercrime police helped two victims of online frauds get back their money to the tune of Rs. 35 lakhs.

In the first case, a senior citizen aged 76 years was put under digital arrest by cyber fraudsters who threatened and forced him to transfer Rs. 84 lakh to various bank accounts. On a complaint, the cybercrime police registered a case and immediately contacted banks where the accounts were opened and are operated.

The bank officials freezed some bank accounts and could withhold an amount of Rs. 34 lakh. The officials helped the victim further with court related procedure and finally the victim got Rs. 34 lakh back.
