Hyderabad: The Hyderabad Cybercrime police nabbed one Manish (30), from New Delhi on charges of cheating a job aspirant from the city to the tune of Rs 1.5 lakh by promising to place her in a reputed multinational company.
He was involved in two cases, one each in Telangana and Karnataka.
Police said Manish approached the 27-year-old woman complainant promising a job with good salary. Believing the offer to be true, she paid a total of Rs 1.5 lakh towards registration, processing fee, medical insurance and other expenses.
After the payments, they claimed that the payment gateway was stuck and kept postponing the job process. The woman realized that this was a cyber-fraud and lodged a complaint.
