A dating app meet-up in Hyderabad allegedly ended in an assault after a dispute over a pub bill. A man claimed a woman called associates after he sought reimbursement, following which he was allegedly attacked near Madhapur Metro Station.

Hyderabad: A dating app meet-up in the city allegedly ended up in an assault incident after a dispute over a pub bill.
According to information available, a man from the OU Colony became acquainted with a woman through a dating application. The two reportedly met at a pub in Jubilee Hills recently, where they spent time together and consumed alcohol.
The man alleged the woman initially told him she would pay the bill but later made him settle the amount. When he later asked her to reimburse the money, she allegedly called a few associates, who assaulted him near the Madhapur Metro Station.
Based on the victim’s complaint, the Madhapur police have booked a case and taken up investigation to ascertain the sequence of events and identify those involved in the alleged attack.
