Hyderabad: A woman was killed, allegedly by her juvenile daughter, on Monday at Rajendranagar. The murder is suspected to be fallout of the mother’s refusal to allow the 17-year-old girl marry her boyfriend.

According to the police, the victim, aged around 40 years, lived with her husband and daughter at Chintalmet. On Monday afternoon, the suspect along with her boyfriend, both minors, picked up a quarrel with the victim as she opposed their marriage. “They strangulated her to death with a scarf and fled the place,” the police said, adding that the murder came to light when the victim’s husband came home and found the body.

The police shifted the body to the Osmania General Hospital mortuary and registered a case. Efforts are on to apprehend the juvenile suspects.
