Hyderabad: Dream Basketball Academy and Nizam Basketball Academy moved into the women’s final of the inaugural LVR memorial basketball tournament at Victory Playground here on Thursday.
In the first semifinal, Dream Academy recorded a 59-46 win against YMCA Secunderabad with Medha (14) and Nethra (17) being the top-scorers.
In the other last four contest, Nizam Academy notched up a far more convincing, 51-24 win against Keystone Basketball Academy with Shruthi (11) and Janvi (12) being the lead scorers while Aaradhya (10) and Nisha (8) put up a good show for the losers.
The finals will be played tomorrow.
The results: Semifinals: Women: Dream Basketball Academy 59 (Medha 14, Nethra 17) bt YMCA Sec’bad 46 (Saihitha 17, Manasa 12).
Nizam Basketball Academy 51 (Shruti 11, Janvi 12) bt Keystone Basketball Academy 24 (Aaradhya 10, Nisha 8).
