Hyderabad: DCP holds meeting with hotel owners to review safety compliance

Hyderabad: North Zone DCP S Rashmi Perumal convened a meeting with hotel and lodge owners and managers across the jurisdiction to review compliance with public safety and legal regulations on Wednesday.
Emphasising the importance of coordination between hotel managements and local police to enhance public safety and maintain law and order in the city, the DCP said the objective of the meet was to ensure that all establishments function strictly in accordance with the law.
Hotel and lodge managements were cautioned to adhere to all legal provisions and safety protocols.
The DCP warned that any negligence or violation leading to a threat to public safety would invite stringent legal action.
The meeting was attended by over 100 hotel and lodge owners and managers, along with senior police officials from the zone.
Key instructions issued included:
*Maintenance of visitor register and daily submission to the local police.
*Mandatory verification and retention of valid ID proofs of all guests.
*Installation of CCTV cameras with minimum backup.
*Prior police intimation and permission before hosting any events, gatherings or training programmes.
*Prevention of any illegal activities, including prostitution or drug peddling on the premises.
*Adequate security measures, including scanners and deployment of security guards.
