Hyderabad: Delhi Public School, Nacharam receives bomb threat
Following information from the school authorities, the local police and bomb squad has reached the school. The officials of the bomb squad are checking the school for any possible explosives
Hyderabad: Panic prevailed at the Delhi Public School (DPS), Nacharam, and its surroundings when a bomb threat mail was received by the school authorities on Tuesday.
Following information from the management, the local police and bomb squad reached the school and took up checking for presence of any explosive substances.
As per available information, the management received a threat email on the ID of its chairman Malka Komaraiah, who is also the BJP MLC candidate for Medak-Nizamabad-Adilabad-Karimnagar Teachers’ segment.
The teachers and the staff immediately evacuated the school building and shifted the students to safety. The parents were informed about the situation.
The school authorities, staff and parents heaved a sigh of relief when police confirmed that there was no bomb after extensive checks.
This is the second time this month that the school has received a bomb threat mail, leaving students and their parents in a state of panic. The Nacharam police are investigating.
