Hyderabad: Derogatory content on Instagram, youth stage protests
The group demanded the police book a case and initiate action against the persons responsible for it.
Hyderabad: Mild tension prevailed at Rein Bazaar on Saturday night after locals staged a protest demanding action against persons who posted derogatory content on Instagram against a particular community.
According to the police, a person had allegedly made some derogatory remarks against a particular community on Instagram and soon after noticing it, youth had gathered at the Rein Bazaar police station.
The group demanded the police book a case and initiate action against the persons responsible for it.
On information senior police officials reached the station and pacified the agitators. A case is booked and one person who is suspected to have made the remarks is detained by the police.
As a precautionary measure police patrolling was intensified in the area and its surroundings.
