Hyderabad deserves UNESCO’s World Heritage City tag: KTR

Stating that it was a great honour for Telangana and India to get UNESCO World Heritage tag for Ramappa Temple, the Minister said it was the first such recognition for Telangana.

Sangareddy: IT and Industries Minister K T Rama Rao on Tuesday said Hyderabad deserves the UNESCO World Heritage City tag because of the unique combination it enjoys, its heritage and emergence as new age city. “We should all work towards getting the status,” the Minister said.

Stating that it was a great honour for Telangana and India to get UNESCO World Heritage tag for Ramappa Temple, the Minister said it was the first such recognition for Telangana. “Ramappa Temple is one of the brilliant ancient structures in Telangana,” he said during an interaction with students of Kautilya School of Public Policy at GITAM University at Rudraram in Sangareddy district.
