The victim Mohammed Ismail (40) a resident of Laxmiguda under Mailardevpally police station limits was going on his tricycle when some unknown person doused him with fuel and set him ablaze

Hyderabad: A differently-abled man was set ablaze by some unknown persons at Mailardevpally on Monday night.

The victim Mohammed Ismail (40) a resident of Laxmiguda under Mailardevpally police station limits was going on his tricycle when some unknown person doused him with fuel and set him ablaze.

“Ismail in his dying declaration made before the magistrate mentioned about a woman at the spot. We are trying to track her down,” said K Narsimha, SHO Mailardevpally police station.
The police suspect that the victim might have been killed over family disputes. Mohammed Ismail has two wives.

A case under Section 302 (murder) of IPC is registered by the police and investigation taken up.
