For the first time, doctors in large numbers assembled at one place to plant the saplings at Children’s Park in Film Nagar
Hyderabad: On the occasion of Doctor’s Day, Green India Challenge organised a programme for planting of saplings in which Member of Parliament J Santosh Kumar, doctors and specialists from prominent private and government hospitals took part.
For the first time, doctors in large numbers assembled at one place to plant the saplings. The programme happened at Children’s Park in Film Nagar.
Speaking on the occasion, Santosh Kumar said he is glad that over 50 eminent doctors and specialists came forward to help protect the environment.
“This is the first initiative where a large number of doctors came forward and planted saplings. This is very inspirational. Each and every one should take it as a responsibility to plant saplings and ensure that Green Challenge is passed on to the next generation,” he added.
Congratulating Santosh Kumar for the programme, Director of Public Health Dr G Srinivas Rao, said on every auspicious occasion, a sapling must be planted.
The Chairman of Asian Institute of Gastroenterology and AIG Hospitals Dr D Nageshwar Reddy said, “Green India Challenge is a role model to the entire world. Everyone should plant trees and give back to society.”
In this programme, eminent doctors and specialists including KIMS MD, Dr B Bhaskar Rao, Rainbow MDs Dr Ramesh Kancherla and Dr Dinesh Kancherla, Sunshine Hospitals MD Dr Guruva Reddy and Yashoda Hospitals MD Surender Rao participated.
