Hyderabad: A woman domestic help was allegedly raped by her co-worker in Banjara Hills, police said on Thursday.
According to the police, the 23-year-old woman joined for work at a villa about 20 days ago, and was staying in the servant quarters. K.Shiva (38), who works as a cook in the house allegedly took her beside the compound wall and raped her last Thursday. He also threatened to kill her if she revealed it to anyone.
Due to fear, the victim remained silent until her brother visited her a few days ago. She told him what happened and with his help, approached the Banjara Hills police and lodged a complaint, following which a case of rape and threatening was booked and efforts are on to nab the suspect.
