Hyderabad: Drunk youngsters assault cops in Jubilee Hills

Hyderabad: Two police constables were allegedly abused and assaulted by a group of youths who were in an inebriated condition at Shalivahana Nagar in Jubilee Hills on Thursday night.
According to the police, constable Raju and Home Guard, Shekhar, who were on duty in Salivahana Nagar, noticed three drunken youths fighting on the road creating public nuisance.
When they were advised to clear the place and go home, the youths got angry and attacked the policemen.
The cops were dragged down from the patrolling vehicle and beaten severely. When the locals reached there, the three youths escaped.
Based on the victim’s complaint, the Jubilee Hills police have registered a case and are investigating.
Three youths identified as Ashok and Mohan, both software employees and Karthik, a DJ were detained by the police.
