Hyderabad: Demanding their jobs, the District Selection Committee (DSC) 2008 candidates staged a protest in Praja Bhavan here on Friday.

Protesters lamented that though Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy had issued GO 9 and got cabinet approval a year ago, they have not been given their teacher jobs.

As the government conducted certificate verification for the eligible DSC 2008 candidates in September, several candidates left their teaching job in the private schools with an assurance of a job in the government schools.

The protesters also lamented that they have been facing a severe financial crisis as they do not have a job for the last three months.

Never before has there been such a situation where jobs have not been given even after 100 days into certificate verification, they said and demanded the government to immediately issue their appointment orders.
