Hyderabad: Elderly couple ends life at Vikarabad’s Yalal mandal
An elderly couple in Rasnam village, Vikarabad, died by suicide after a family dispute. The husband hanged himself, and the wife drowned in a well nearby. Police have registered a case and sent the bodies for postmortem examination
Hyderabad: In a tragic incident, an elderly couple died by suicide at Yalal mandal of Vikarabad district on Saturday night.
According to the police, the couple, Srinivas Reddy (63) and Bhagyamma (58), stayed at Rasnam village in Yalal mandal.
On Saturday night, Srinivas Reddy, following a quarrel with his wife over family issues, hanged himself in the house. In Sunday early hours, the woman who noticed that her husband had ended his life went to a well on village outskirts and jumped into it. She drowned and died.
On information, the police reached the village and shifted the bodies for postmortem examination to local government hospital mortuary. A case is registered.
