Hyderabad: An elderly man died on the spot after the car he was driving went out of control and crashed into an electric pole on the National Highway- 65 at Abdullapurmet on Friday. The victim, identified as N Mohan Reddy (72) from Anand Nagar in Nagole, was returning home from Choutuppal when the mishap occurred. According to the police, when Mohan Reddy reached near Sanjay Gandhi Polytechnic College on the Vijayawada highway, he lost control of the steering wheel and crashed into the road median on the right side. “After hitting the road median, the car jumped on to the median and hit the electric pole. He died on the spot,” the Abdullapurmet police said.
