Electrician stabs advocate to death in Hyderabad’s Santoshnagar
Suspect Dastagiri lives as a tenant in the house owned by victim Errabapu Esrayal, was having an affair with another resident's wife
Hyderabad: An advocate was stabbed to death at an apartment in IS Sadan, Santoshnagar, on Sunday night.
The victim has been identified as Errabapu Esrayal (50), a resident of East Maruthinagar in Champapet.
According to the police, the suspect, Dastagiri, an electrician, stayed as a tenant in the house owned by Esrayal at Santoshnagar. A couple, Kantha Rao and Kalyani, also lived in the building and the former worked as a watchman.
“Dastagiri and Kalyani were reportedly having an affair. On coming to know about it, Kantha Rao took his wife away to their village. Dastagiri suspected that Esrayal knew the whereabouts of Kalyani and was not helping him locate her,” IS Sadan Inspector said.
On Monday morning, Dastagiri came to meet Esrayal at his house. After an argument, he stabbed the advocate leading to severe injuries. He was shifted to a nearby hospital where he died during treatment.
The police have registered a case.
