Hyderabad ends week on pleasant note with cloudy skies, light drizzle

Starting as a light drizzle around noon time in Gachibowli, Madhapur, Khairatabad and Uppal among other localities, the weather remained pleasant till evening. More areas were encompassed by the drizzle with varying intensity as the day progressed.

Hyderabad: The week for Hyderabad ended on a pleasant note with cloudy skies prevailing the entire day and drizzle greeting denizens in several parts of the city and outskirts.

Starting as a light drizzle around noon time in Gachibowli, Madhapur, Khairatabad and Uppal among other localities, the weather remained pleasant till evening. More areas were encompassed by the drizzle with varying intensity as the day progressed.


In the city, Addagutta recorded the highest rainfall of 4 mm followed by Habsiguda and Uppal with 3 mm rainfall, Rahmatnagar with 2 mm and Nampally with 1.8 mm rainfall.

Complementing the drizzle, the mercury during the day time went down with most parts of the city logging in maximum temperature below 30 degree Celsius. Similar day temperatures are expected in the next three days. However, the minimum temperature did not dip that much and remained in the 21 degree Celsius to 24 degree Celsius range.

According to the Indian Meteorological Department-Hyderabad, the weather conditions in Hyderabad over the next two days are expected to have a generally cloudy sky with mist or hazy conditions likely prevailing during morning hours. A light rain or drizzle is also likely to occur in parts of the city.

The maximum and minimum temperatures in the city are expected to be around 29 degree Celsius and 21 degree Celsius respectively, with surface winds being north-easterlies with wind speeds of around 6 kmph to 10 kmph.
