Hyderabad: An engineering student committed suicide by jumping from a building located at KPHB colony here on Saturday night.

Ruthvik who was pursuing engineering from a private college in the city, walked to the third floor of the building and jumped from there. Some of the apartment residents who heard a thud, rushed out of their flats and noticed him lying on the ground in a pool of blood.

On information, the KPHB police rushed to the spot and shifted the body to Gandhi Hospital mortuary for postmortem examination. The family members of the youngster informed the police that Ruthvik slipped into depression after failing to clear few papers in his engineering course and might have ended his life over it.

A case is registered by the police and investigation going on.
