Hyderabad: Engineering student killed, two injured in hit-and-run at Bachupally

The trio, K. Nanu, Karthik, and Vishwanth, who are engineering students in Bachupally, set out on their scooter from their hostel on Saturday morning to travel to Pragathinagar for some work.

Hyderabad: An engineering student was killed and two of his friends suffered injuries in a hit and run road accident at Bachupally in city in Saturday morning.

The trio K Nanu, Karthik and Vishwanth who are pursuing their engineering college at Bachupally. On Saturday morning, the trio started on their scooter from their hostel to head to Pragathinagar for some work.

When they reached near the fuel station, an unknown vehicle hit the scooter. “Nanu fell down from the scooter on to the road and was run over by the heavy vehicle. He died on the spot while his friends luckily escaped with injuries,” said the police.

The police shifted the body for postmortem examination to mortuary. A case is registered. Efforts are on to identify the vehicle that hit the scooter.
