Hyderabad: Previous enmity, triggered by an alleged extramarital affair, could have led to the brutal murder of auto-rickshaw driver Ch Rajesh in full public view in Shanti Nagar on Thursday.
The Lalaguda police said Rajesh (40), a resident of RTC Colony in Moula Ali, allegedly had an intimate relationship with a woman, and was also earlier arrested in connection with her husband’s murder. He was recently released from prison on bail.
On Thursday night, Rajesh went to meet his friends at Shanthi Nagar, when a group of persons attacked him in public view. They stabbed him multiple times with knives, resulting in his death on the spot.
The body was shifted to the Gandhi Hospital morgue and was later handed over to the family after autopsy on Friday.
