Hyderabad: Falaknuma RuB to be opened for Balapur Ganesh
Hyderabad: The Balapur Ganesh idol will be taken for immersion via the new Road under Bridge (RuB) at Falaknuma.
The GHMC authorities along with the railways had taken up remodeling works on the old bridge in the last six months. “The works on the old bridge are nearly completed. The organisers sought permission for using the bridge for taking the Ganesh idol, following which senior officials visited and after inspection, agreed to allow it for use on Sunday,” a senior GHMC official said.
After the idols pass, the RuB will again be closed for the traffic as BT roads are to be laid. “After a couple of weeks, we will open it for traffic,” the official said, adding that works on another parallel bridge were also in progress.
