Hyderabad: Two persons of a family died by suicide at their residence in Old Bowenpally here on Thursday. The victims were identified as Sneha (40) and her elder daughter Hansika (15).
According to police, Sneha along with her husband and two daughters consumed poison and attempted to commit suicide. While Sneha and her elder daughter died, the husband and one more daughter are undergoing treatment in a hospital.

Sources said the family was depressed over financial issues and other family problems. On receiving information from the neighbours, police officials rushed to the spot and shifted the bodies to Gandhi Hospital for autopsy. Senior police officers also visited the house of the family for conducting investigations. The CLUES team collected samples from the spot.

“Preliminary investigation suggests that the family was depressed over financial problems and took the extreme step. We are also probing other possible angles,” an official said. The Bowenpally police booked a case and are investigating.
