Hyderabad: Family donates Railway Chief Pharmacist’s cornea after her death
Upon learning of her death, Ganji Eswara Lingam and Pallavol Ramana, founders of Amma Eye, Organ and Body Donation Promoters Association, together collected corneas through the Vasan Eye Bank
Hyderabad: In a noble gesture, family members of Railway Chief Pharmacist, Padma Rani, who had passed away due to chronic illness at Railway Hospital, Mettuguda on Monday, have given consent to donate her corneas to needy patients.
Padma Rani, a native of Secunderabad, who was working as a Chief Pharmacist in the Railway Department, was also well known as a poet, writer and a cartoonist.
Upon learning of her death, Ganji Eswara Lingam and Pallavol Ramana, founders of Amma Eye, Organ and Body Donation Promoters Association, together collected corneas through the Vasan Eye Bank.
They thanked Padma Rani’s husband Rambabu and daughter Ramya for their cooperation.
