Hyderabad fights hit as dense fog, pollution delay over 370 flights at Delhi airport
At least 22 Hyderabad-Delhi flights, including arrivals and departures, faced delays of up to two hours, causing significant inconvenience to passengers.
Hyderabad: Flight operations in Hyderabad were disrupted on Monday as dense fog and severe air pollution in Delhi delayed over 370 flights at the Indira Gandhi International Airport till 2 p.m., including several by IndiGo and Air India.
At least 22 Hyderabad-Delhi flights, including arrivals and departures, faced delays of up to two hours, causing significant inconvenience to passengers.
GMR Group-led Delhi International Airport Limited (DIAL), which operates the Delhi airport, said on Twitter, “Low visibility procedures are still in progress and flight operations may get affected at Delhi Airport. Passengers are requested to contact the airline concerned for the updated flight information.”
Among the affected flights, IndiGo reported multiple delays, with departures to Delhi rescheduled by up to two hours. Air India flights arriving in Hyderabad from Delhi were also running late due to poor visibility and operational adjustments at Delhi airport.
