Hyderabad: A fire incident was reported at the Southern Mirchi restaurant on Road No 3 in Banjara Hills on Tuesday, triggering panic among staff and customers.
The fire originated in the kitchen area at around 10 am, after smoke was noticed billowing from the premises.
Alert employees immediately informed the fire department. Firefighters from the Film Nagar fire station reached the location promptly and managed to douse the flames before they could spread further.
Fire officials suspect that the blaze was caused by a short circuit.
No injuries were reported and major damage was averted due to timely action.
