Hyderabad: Five arrested for murder of pan-shop owner in Bandlaguda
Bandlaguda police arrested five men for murdering pan-shop owner Mohsin at Ghousenagar. The accused, recently released from jail for cattle theft, killed Mohsin believing he was leaking their information to rivals. Police seized knives and bikes used in the crime
Hyderabad: The Bandlaguda police arrested five persons who were involved in the murder of a pan-shop owner at Ghousenagar, Bandlaguda, on Sunday.
The arrested persons are Syed Shah Fahad (23), Syed Sohail (21), Mohammed Amer (24), Mohammed Bin Abdullah Saif (32) and Shaik Afroz (30).
The victim, Mohsin, used to run a pan shop at Ghousenagar in Bandlaguda police station area. According to ACP Chandrayangutta, S Sudhakar, the suspects were involved in cattle theft cases reported in the city. Recently, they were arrested by the police in connection with theft cases and sent to jail.
“After coming out of jail, Fahad came to know that Mohsin was passing on information about their activities to their rival gangs, who in turn were alerting the police. To take revenge, on October 29, the gang caught hold of Mohsin and stabbed him to death at Ghousenagar,” said ACP Sudhakar.
The police had registered a case and, during investigation, caught the five suspects. The police seized three knives and bikes from them.
