Hyderabad: Five held for drug peddling, 1.1 kg marijuana seized

The Special Task Force (STF) along with the Excise Police nabbed five persons including four women on charges of drug peddling at Upper Dhoolpet in Mangalhat on Thursday.

Hyderabad: The Special Task Force (STF) along with the Excise Police nabbed five persons including four women on charges of drug peddling at Upper Dhoolpet in Mangalhat on Thursday. Officials seized 1.1 kg of marijuana from them.

The arrested persons are Shobha Bai, Rekha Bai, Malathi Bai, Aruna Bai, and Sunny sold the drug to consumers and made easy money.

Acting on a tip-off, the police teams nabbed the gang while selling marijuana at Rekha Bai’s house in Upper Dhoolpet and seized the drug. One other woman, identified as Poonam Bai, is reported to be absconding.
