Hyderabad: Are you sick of the exasperating mosquito swarms, their incessant buzz, and the risks of diseases that they wing in?
Login to the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) mobile app and have the civic body’s team march in with fogging machines and chase away the mosquitoes.
The GHMC on Thursday announced a new digital feature ‘fogging on request’ in “my GHMC ” app where citizens facing mosquito menace can log in and request for fogging. This request will be received by an assistant entomologist and will be assigned to the area fogging worker, the GHMC said in a press release.
Once the request is attended by fogging in that area it gets resolved by uploading a photo with geolocation. The number of slots will be available based on staff availability in the area and to prevent redundant requests from the same area, once fogged that will be restricted for one week.
The functionality of this feature is to be tested as a pilot at Jubilee Hills Circle and will be extended to the entire GHMC, the press release added.
