Hyderabad: The H-NEW team along with the local police nabbed a foreigner in alleged possession of 50 grams of MDMA drug at Humayun Nagar on Thursday night.

The arrested person was identified as Mohd. Abdul Rahman Osman alias Osman alias Hanin (24), a native of South Darfur in Sudan, is presently staying at Tolichowki in the city.

According to the police, Hanin after completing his schooling in Sudan obtained a student Visa and came to India in 2016 and stayed with his countrymen at Tolichowki. In 2017, on completion of his English course he went back to his country.

Again in the year 2018 he obtained 4 years valid student visa, and came to India and joined a university in Sahranpur in Uttar Pradesh to complete a computer course.

In July this year, he came to Hyderabad and started indulging in drug peddling. “Soon he became a drug peddler and started buying drugs from Bengaluru and supplying them to consumers in Hyderabad.

“The accused had bigger plans to procure drugs from dealers in Nigeria, Tanzania, Sudan and Palestine as well as local suppliers on lower rates to further sell them for profits,” said CV Anand, Police Commissioner, Hyderabad.

Investigation revealed that he was supplying drugs in Hyderabad to consumers by the way of dead drop i.e., sharing the drug dropped photo and location to the consumers and receiving the payments through mule bank account through Gpay and Phonepay.
