Hyderabad: A Hyderabad-based Uber driver, Kumar, is winning hearts with his inspiring journey from a corporate career to pursuing his true passion.

During a recent cab ride, a customer shared Kumar’s story, highlighting how he left his job at Amazon to follow his love for driving. Kumar is currently among the highest-rated drivers on the Uber platform.

Speaking about his decision, Kumar said driving has always been his passion. He explained that one of the most rewarding aspects of the profession is the opportunity to interact with people from different states and countries.

“Driving is my passion. I enjoy communicating with people, and that is very important to me. People from different states and countries travel in my cab. I also wanted to explore Hyderabad better because I am from this city,” he said.

The customer noted that it is uncommon to see people in India pursuing their passions despite various personal and professional commitments. Curious about Kumar’s journey, the customer asked when he began following his passion for driving.

Kumar replied that he started driving when Uber launched its services in Hyderabad in 2014. “It has been almost 10 to 11 years now,” he said.

Impressed by his enthusiasm and positive outlook, the customer suggested that Kumar should consider creating content on social media platforms such as Instagram and YouTube.

“I have completed almost 23,600 trips and I am still active on the platform. From morning till evening, I enjoy every trip. I get to communicate with so many people, and that is one of the most important things in my life,” he said.
