Hyderabad: With the water levels in Himayat Sagar and Osman Sagar reaching the full tank level, the Hyderabad Metropolitan Water Supply and Sewerage Board on Saturday opened more gates of the twin reservoirs. To release the water into river Musi, four gates of each reservoir were kept open upto two feet height.
The water level at Himayat Sagar was recorded at 1,763.50 ft against the FTL of 1,763.50 ft. The water level touched the reservoir capacity i.e. 2.97 TMC. While the water body was receiving 3,500 cusecs of inflow, the outflow stood at 2,800 cusecs. Meanwhile, Osman Sagar was receiving 1,400 cusecs of inflow and the recorded outflow was 960.
The water level in this reservoir also touched FTL of 1,790 feet. The reservoir capacity is 3.90 TMC and the water level reached maximum capacity.
