Hyderabad: Four persons who were involved in the murder of an auto rickshaw driver reported at Lallaguda last week were arrested by the police on Monday. Two others who were also involved in the case are absconding.
The arrested persons are R Prem Kumar (25), Radapaka Mahesh (32), R Sai Kumar (32) and G Shiva Kumar (24) while those absconding are Vinay and Santosh.
“The six persons stabbed the victim Chiluka Rajesh (39) an auto rickshaw driver from Moula Ali on Thursday night at Shanthinagar in Lallaguda. To ensure he died, the suspects also threw cement bricks on his head and chest,” said ACP Gopalapuram, N Sudheer.
A case was booked by the police following the murder and the six persons were tracked down and arrested.
The ACP said Rajesh was involved in the murder of one Chilkula Rajendar reported in 2020 in Osmania University police station limits. “Prem Kumar, Mahesh and Sai Kumar are relatives of Rajendar and killed Rajesh to avenge his killing,” said the official.
For last few weeks, the six suspects were keeping a tab on the movement of Rajesh and on Thursday on coming to know he was visiting Shantinagar, waylaid and killed him.
The arrested persons were produced before the court and remanded.
