Hyderabad fruit vendor ends life amid family issues in Kulsumpura
Shaik Waseem, a 28-year-old fruit vendor from Shahalibanda, died by suicide in Kulsumpura after dousing himself with fuel over alleged family issues. He was reportedly depressed due to separation from his wife and suspected interference by her relatives.
Hyderabad: A fruit vendor died by suicide at Kulsumpura reportedly due to family issues on Saturday night.
The man Shaik Waseem (28), a resident of Shahalibanda, got married to Nasreen eight years ago. Since last one and half year, the couple have been staying separately after the wife of Waseem got a case registered against him at the women’s police station.
Waseem suspected that Nasreen’s sister Parveen and her husband were facilitating Nasreen to take divorce from him. “Depressed over it the man went to a fuel station, purchased a bottle of fuel and came to 100 feet road at Puranapul. He then doused himself with fuel and set himself ablaze,” said B Bhaskar Rao, sub inspector Kulsumpura.
The police on coming to know about it from the local persons shifted Waseem to hospital where he died while undergoing treatment. A case is registered.
