Hyderabad: Gang targets auto-rickshaw passenger

Police sources said the victim identified as Nagarjuna had boarded an auto-rickshaw from Lakdi-ka-Pul towards Rajendranagar.

Hyderabad: A man was allegedly beaten and robbed by a gang at Rajendranagar on Sunday midnight.

Police sources said the victim identified as Nagarjuna had boarded an auto-rickshaw from Lakdi-ka-Pul towards Rajendranagar.

After going some distance, two other unidentified persons posing as passengers got into the auto-rickshaw. The auto driver took the vehicle towards Langar Houz, instead of the route which leads to Nagarjuna’s house. 

When Nagarjuna raised an alarm, the gang assaulted him and robbed cash and his mobile phone and fled.

The Rajendranagar police are investigating.
