Hyderabad: Barely two weeks after he was out on bail after being arrested on charges of selling cocaine, a Ghana national was arrested again on Tuesday on the same charges.
According to the police, the Prohibition and Excise department on Tuesday arrested Samuel Smith Nelson, 32, a resident of Golden Enclave Paramount Colony in Tolichowki, who was released on bail from jail on November 12. He was earlier arrested on August 19 for possessing six grams of cocaine along with two Nigerians.
After being released, Nelson allegedly again contacted a supplier, Ite-Igwe Iron Pot alias Felix, from Mumbai. Felix handed over the contraband to Nelson on November 15, after which he reportedly contacted his old customers by messaging them ‘Hai Bro, Happy Weekend’, officials said.
Based on a tip-off, the Excise officials caught him while he was reportedly trying to deliver cocaine to a customer near Road No.1 in Banjara Hills. Officials said 61 grams of cocaine and a mobile phone was seized from his possession and that efforts were on trace Felix.
