Hyderabad: GHMC repairs 21,511 potholes under road safety drive
Under a major road safety drive, GHMC identified 22,797 potholes and repaired 21,511 by November 28. Over 1,000 catch pits, nearly 500 covers, and multiple medians were fixed. All GHMC zones reported significant progress in ongoing road repair works

Hyderabad: As part of the road safety drive in Greater Hyderabad, a total of 22,797 potholes were identified in the city, out of which 21,511 were repaired up to November 28. So far, 1,019 catch pit repairs, 494 cover replacements, and 13 central median repairs were completed, according to an official release.
As part of the road safety measures, activities such as pothole filling, catch pit repairs, road repair work, patchwork, cover replacements, and central median repairs are continuously underway.
In the L B Nagar zone, 3,828 potholes were filled and subsequently in the Charminar zone, 2,885; in the Khairatabad zone, 3,785; in the Serilingampally zone, 2,656; in the Kukatpally zone, 3,217; and in the Secunderabad zone, 5,140, totalling 21,511 potholes filled, it said.
