Hyderabad: The GMR Varalakshmi Foundation, the Corporate Social Responsibility arm of the GMR Group is offering vocational training programmes for school/college drop-outs and under-privileged youth from Telangana.
Most of the courses are of three-month duration and are being conducted in collaboration with various industries. After the training, placements are being facilitated for the trained candidates, a GMR press release said.
The foundation is offering training classes for electrician, F&B steward, automobile (two-wheeler) repair, excavator operator, technician in drywalls and false ceiling, welding and agri clinic and agri business centres. Residential facility will be provided to male trainees during the training period.
The Data Entry Operator (Computer Operator) & Tailoring (Self Employed Tailor) training programmes are exclusive for women. These courses will start from April 15. Courses along with boarding and lodging are offered without any charge, the release said.
