Golconda Police in Hyderabad traced and returned 24 lost mobile phones to their rightful owners using CEIR technology. The phones were reported missing weeks ago. After verifying documents, the police handed them over at a small ceremony at the station

Hyderabad: The Golconda police on Thursday handed over 24 mobile phones to the owners of the gadgets who had lost them a few weeks ago.

According to the ACP Golconda, Syed Fiaz, the owner of the mobile phones, had approached the police and sought help in tracing the gadgets that were lost by them.


The police, with the help of advanced technology platforms such as Central Equipment Identity Register (CEIR), traced the mobile phones. After verifying the documents, the phones were handed over to the owners at the Golonda police station.
