Hyderabad: Gold merchant absconds with mortgaged ornaments worth over Rs 50 lakh

According to available information, Om Prakash Sirvi, the owner of SPI Shivam Jewelers, a gold jewelry pawn business in Jagadgirigutta, allegedly absconded with customers' gold ornaments on January 25.

Hyderabad: A gold merchant allegedly went absconding with mortgaged gold ornaments of customers duping them to the tune of several lakhs at Chandragirinagar in Jagadgirigutta.

As per available information, Om Prakash Sirvi, who runs a gold jewelry pawn business under the name of SPI Shivam Jewelers in Jagadgirigutta, fled with the gold ornaments of the customers on January 25.


The victims filed a complaint at the Jagadgirigutta police station on January 28, alleging that Prakash had went absconding with gold jewelry worth over Rs 50 lakh.

Efforts are on to nab him and recover the stolen material.
